Mother of 2, hit by truck on US1, later dies

On December 30, at around 11:40pm, 25 year old Kelly Lewis was struck by a red Ford F-150 while walking along US1 near Latimer Street.

She leaves behind 2 children, a 7 year old son and 19 month old daughter.

FHP Public Affairs Officer Lt. Kim Montes said the truck, driven by a 65yr-old male, was traveling north on US1 when the driver struck the female, who was walking in or near the left northbound lane.

BCSO and BCFR responded to the scene where the female victim was later pronounced deceased at Parrish Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation by FHP

There has been a GoFundMe set up to help with costs of Kelly’s funeral.
